WiFi Watcher ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
WiFi Watcher scans your local Wi-Fi network to list the devices connected to it (IP addresses, MAC addresses where available, hostnames, and open ports) and to estimate a privacy score. All of this is processed and stored only on your phone. We do not operate servers that receive, store, or transmit your network data.
Android requires apps to hold Location permission in order to read Wi-Fi details (this is an OS rule, not our choice). WiFi Watcher uses this permission solely to read your Wi-Fi network information. It does not collect, store, or share your GPS location.
Your past scans are saved to your device's local storage so you can review them later. They never leave your phone and are removed if you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
WiFi Watcher shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect certain device identifiers to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's privacy policy. We do not send your network scan data to AdMob or any other advertiser.
WiFi Watcher is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Because all data is local, uninstalling the app or clearing its storage from Android Settings permanently deletes everything WiFi Watcher holds about you. You can also email us to confirm deletion.
